Pizza with parma ham, peppers, almonds and pecorino cheese

Preparation

1

Preheat oven. Wash pepper, remove seeds then cut into cubes of about 1 cm in size. Finely cube onions and chop thyme.

2

Sauté onion cubes in hot oil for 2-3 minutes, then season with salt and pepper and allow to cool down. Coarsely chop almonds and brown briefly in a pan without any fat. Cut ham into strips of approx. 1 cm in size.

3

Place pastry on baking tray. Spread on Ajvar (pepper paste) and tomato slices. Top with all other ingredients and bake in the oven at 200 °C for approx. 12-15 minutes. Finally sprinkle with fresh thyme. If you wish you may garnish and refine the pizza with pieces of mozzarella.
